A Long-Awaited Meeting of Minds: Amanah Meets Kalid Ibn Abdi Nur & Muhammad Sani
This week marked a long-anticipated meeting between the Amanah team and Sheikh Kalid Ibn Abdi Nur, a respected voice in Islamic finance, strategy, and fintech. Kalid is a postgraduate student at the University of Sharjah, and a committed student of knowledge, with deep roots in Islamic thought and practical innovation in the halal economy.
Our meeting, held at Arabica in the Alef Complex, unfolded into a rich and thoughtful exploration — not just of gold and silver, but of Muslim ecosystems, fintech infrastructure, and the future of Islamic assets. Together with his advisor and long-time friend Muhammad Sani, Kalid guided us through Arada, New Sharjah, the Sharjah Technology & RP Tech Park, and Aljada — giving us a grounded tour of a region where Amanah is proudly registered and where innovation meets heritage.
Muhammad Sani, a well-established figure in the precious metals trade with ties to families across Abu Dhabi and Dubai, joined the dialogue. In a warm moment of reflection, we learned about his daughters — including Fatimah Sani, a standout in UAE women’s sport, now studying in the United States. These family stories reminded us that gifting gold and silver is not just transactional — it’s meaningful. It’s about legacy, tradition, and honouring women in our communities with purpose-driven gifts.
As Kalid shared his passion for the Islamic Dinar and Dirham, we gifted him a special Amanah silver coin, presented in our new gift bag, box, and wrapping. The encounter wasn't just professional — it was personal. Grounded in shared values, mutual respect, and a vision to uplift the Muslim business world through real assets, verified gold, and family-oriented financial tools.
We also discussed Amanah's evolving partnerships — from vaulting services and Amanah Premium, to supporting platforms like Wahed Invest, Islamic Finance Guru, and helping larger Islamic organisations buy authenticated gold and silver in bulk, with vault access in Dubai.
And yes — Amanah’s involvement in sport continues. Our past work with World Padel Academy (WPA) designing padel shirts reflects our ethos: build what the Ummah needs, honour it with excellence, and support every form of halal growth, from sport and health to asset protection.
